Cutting-edge cuisine in the shadow of the neighboring Broad Museum.
This is a restaurant with the potential to change the way you think about dining. Could the food of America be just as special as a French degustation or Japanese kaiseki? Otium says that it can. Chef Timothy Hollingsworth has worked at some of California’s most decorated restaurants, including the French Laundry under Thomas Keller. But here, he channels his classical training into a dining experience that celebrates everything American. Making use of the on-site gardens and grills, a take on funnel cakes comes with foie gras mousse; zesty ceviche is served on black rice crackers; and lamb comes with creamy pine-nut mash.
