With his Mexico City restaurant, Pujol, consistently ranked among the top restaurants in the world, to say there was a ‘buzz’ surrounding Enrique Olvera and his 2014 opening of Cosme would be a severe understatement. It should come as no surprise to hear Cosme still has a month-long wait for bookings. This is elegant, simple Mexican from a man who clearly understands the intricacies of the cuisine. The minimalist dining area of bare tables and black bucket seats is a sleekly styled setting for the mod-Mex menu. From the duck carnitas to the uni (sea urchin) tostada, prepare to see Mexican food in a new light.
